If the books in my Bible don't follow a chronological arrangement, what was the order in which they were written? The following list arranges the books of the Bible according to their most probable dates. Some of the more literal translations include: the King James Version (KJV), the New King James Version (NKJV), the English Standard Version (ESV), and the New American Standard Bible (NASB). The most literal translation is the interlinear which contains the text in its original language with the English equivalent under the text.
